Presentation Description: Participants will leave this workshop strengthened in their ability to plan and facilitate learning opportunities, using a checklist which includes:
Artifacts of learning
Learning outcomes
Backward design
Debriefing
Stage-based pedagogy
Adapting resources to context
In addition, participants will be able to discuss intercultural learning, using vocabulary such as:
Andragogical/pedagogical,
Developmental,
Experiential,
Transformational,
Constructivist,
Critically inclusive
Along the way, innovative resources will be demonstrated which allow for metacognition.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will be strengthened in their ability to plan and facilitate learning opportunities, which include: artifacts of learning, learning outcomes, backward design, debriefing, and stage-based pedagogy, and adapting resources contextually.
In addition, participants will be able to discuss intercultural learning, using vocabulary such as: andragogical/pedagogical, developmental, experiential, transformational, constructivist, and critically inclusive.
After the presentation, attendees will have experienced several new intercultural learning activities that they can share with their own institutions.
