Presentation Description: This session will discuss key players to consider in your “Crisis Toolkit,” including international student advisors, campus & local resources, & health insurance. Focusing on collaboration, we'll walk through building a Crisis Toolkit specifically for international students so you & your team can efficiently respond to the unexpected. Current international student advisors & health insurance experts will address the most common crises international students face today. You'll leave the session with a clear path forward to create your own Crisis Toolkit for your office & campus.
Learning Objectives:
Identify key players in crisis management on your campus.
Define a “crisis toolkit” for international students and know the steps involved to put one together.
Be able to recognize your own (the advisor’s) role in international student crisis on your specific campus and where it fits in with other resources and health insurance.
