Ms. Chulapakorn holds over 20 years of experience in the immigration field. Prior to joining the CIS Ombudsman’s Office, she worked with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ (USCIS’) Office of Policy and Strategy as a Special Assistant for the Chief of Policy, where she coordinated the agency’s policy and regulatory proposals in response to President Biden’s executive order to reduce barriers on the legal immigration system (EO 14012). As a Policy Analyst with the office’s Business and Foreign Workers Division, she served as a subject matter expert for the H-2A, H-2B, and I-140 portfolios. From 2014 through 2017, she held the positions of Acting Assistant Chief of Casework, Assistant Project Manager for the Annual Report, and Immigration Law Analyst with the Office of the CIS Ombudsman. Prior to joining DHS, Ms. Chulapakorn held the roles of Policy Analyst and Program Analyst with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Foreign Labor Certification from 2010 through 2014. She adjudicated PERM labor certification applications, prevailing wage determinations, and drafted operational and policy guidance documents. Ms. Chulapakorn worked as an admissions representative and later as an immigration paralegal in Atlanta, Georgia prior to joining public service.
