IEM and ISSS Collaborative Round Tables

Presentation Description: How does your ISSS and IEM teams collaborate to support incoming international students during the admissions cycle and beyond? How is the handoff during yield and orientation? What has worked well and where are the pain points? This round-table session will be facilitated by a panel of professionals with backgrounds in both knowledge areas. This session is meant to be interactive, allowing attendees from all levels of experience and various types of institutions, to learn from each other, network, and brainstorm ideas to take back to their institutions for future implementation.

Learning Objectives:

  • During the round table, attendees will learn from facilitators about how IEM and ISSS teams collaborated to support international students within various size and type of institutions.
  • During the round table, attendees will have the opportunity to share and learn from each other's experience working within IEM or ISSS and how teams collaborated during admissions and beyond.
  • After the round table, attendees will have made at least 1-2 new colleague contacts and take at least 1-2 new ideas back to their campus to introduce to their teams.
